Step 1: Take the train or limousine bus from Haneda International Airport or Narita International Airport to Shinjuku area. (Haneda is closer to Shinjuku)

*You may need to stay one night at a hotel in Shinjuku area, depending on your arrival time.

Step 2: Take the limited express train “Azusa” by JR East from JR Shinjuku station to JR Kobuchizawa station. You can purchase tickets and reserve seats in advance via the JR East reservation service. 

How to reserve tickets:

1. Choose “Travelers with a JR EAST PASS (Nagano, Niigata area)”. *reddish orange banner

2. Select Line → Chuo Line (SJK-Matsumoto), Departs→Shinjuku, Arrives→Kobuchizawa, 
   Boarding Date→Month:8, Day:29, Hour: your choice, Min: your choice

3. Choose your train

4. Select station ticket window (*I would recommend either your arrival terminal at Narita or Haneda Airport or Shinjuku station.) Then choose pickup date.

5. Choose the number of passengers, seat type and other options.

6. Confirm the Rules and register membership, login and make a reservation.

 

Train choices will be;

Azusa #5 (Leave Shinjuku at 8:00am and Arriving at Kobuchizawa at 9:53am)

Azusa #9 (Leave Shinjuku at 10:00am and Arriving at Kobuchizawa at 11:52am)

Azusa #13 (Leave Shinjuku at 11:30am and Arriving Kobuchizawa at 1:25pm)

Azusa #17 (Leave Shinjuku at 1:00pm and Arriving at Kobuchizawa at 2:53pm)

Azusa #19 (Leave Shinjuku at 2:00am and Arriving at Kobuchizawa at 3:50pm)

Our staff will pick you up at the Kobuchizawa station, so please let us know your arrival train. It is a 10-minute drive to the camp venue, Wellness Garden.

 

Participants who wish to perform at the volunteer concert at the local nursing home on August 29thmust be able to arrive before noon, so your choices will be either “Azusa #5” or “Azusa #9”.
Participants who wish to take a private lesson with Nanae Mimura on August 29th, also must also be able to arrive before noon. It is possible to for us to schedule some private lessons in the afternoon on the last day (September 1st).

Participants who do not wish to join anything in the afternoon of August 29th, must be able to arrive before dinner (5:30pm), so your choices can be any of above.
